Volkswagen Saxony wins benchmarking competition

JUNKER congratulates its long-standing customer, Volkswagen Saxony, for the "Factory of the year, 2009" award. This was the eighteenth time that the business newspaper Produktion and consultants A.T. Kearney had staged the benchmarking competition.
 
Volkswagen Saxony won the prize in the "Outstanding innovation management" category, reflecting the car manufacturer's abundant flair for invention and development while also rewarding the structures and people that lie behind it, who bring these innovations to market with such resounding success.
 
The successful collaboration between Volswagen and JUNKER stretches back many years. For example, we have delivered over 350 grinding machines to the Volkswagen Group, catering for the most diverse grinding requirements, mainly for machining crankshafts and camshafts. Thanks to our innovative and high technology grinding machines, that are used throughout the world, we were able to contribute in some way to the business success of the Volkswagen Group's plant in Chemnitz/Saxony and with it, of course, to the "Factory of the year, 2009" award.
