Vivien Müller: Service Technician at Erwin Junker Maschinenfabrik GmbH

An interview with: Vivien Müller

How did you end up at JUNKER and how long have you been working here for?

I first became curious about Erwin Junker Maschinenfabrik and interested in training there during my work experience at school. I started training as a mechatronics engineer in September 2014 and have been part of the JUNKER Group since then.

You work in the Assembly department. What are your areas of responsibility?

My main task is to prepare grinding machines for our customers in the Nordrach plant so that they are ready for operation and therefore to ensure seamless preliminary acceptance. My job continues at the machine's operating location, where I install and set up the grinding machine and the associated peripheral equipment. Following careful commissioning, I arrange intensive tests on the machine, the associated automation solution and machine components.

How would you describe the working environment at JUNKER and what is the best thing about your job?

The working environment is excellent, everyone feels welcome, cooperates openly and receives fast, expert support if they have any questions or problems. I find my dream job to be very varied, which makes the work really interesting. The opportunity for continuous further development, including with regard to our varied products, gives us a lot of freedom. I also meet new people and learn about their cultures when deployed on assembly operations. Another highlight for me is being able to make customers happy with their new grinding machine after a successful assembly operation.
