In the 1st stage of completion, a model AC 8002 LTA air filter with an effective suction capacity of approx. 10,000 m³ extracts the separating agent vapors from 3 presses. The aerosols are separated from the contaminated air and cling to the collector surface or partly condense and run down. Once a day, the offline cleaning cycle is run. The system is shut down and rinsed with cleaning oil through the injection tubes integrated in the filter. This procedure takes about 35 min. After that, the system is immediately ready to use. Over the course of the next few hours, the contaminated oil is filtered in the centrifuge and can then be used for the next cleaning cycle. The separating agent residues are collected in a container and can be disposed of. An advantage of this system is the limited need for maintenance staff and, most of all, the unlimitedly reusable cleaning oil. Only what’s lost through evaporation, etc. needs to be replaced. The water used in conventional wet scrubbers, meanwhile, has to be changed on a regular basis. In addition to environmental disadvantages, this also results in enormous financial costs associated with waste water disposal. The LTA’s offer for this project includes the model AC 8002 cleanable large filter (1st stage of completion, approx. 10,000 m³ effective suction capacity) and a model AC 16002 (2nd stage of completion, approx. 20,000 m³ effective suction capacity) with mounted accessories, a spraying system for online cleaning of filters, a cleaning system, the piping + exhaust air piping, as well as the complete assembly, set-up and start-tup of the entire system.
