The AMB 2018 set a new record with well over 1,500 exhibitors and 90,000 visitors. Every two years, world market and technology leaders, hidden champions and start-ups unveil their new developments for the production of tomorrow on over 120,000 square meters of exhibition space.
JUNKER attracted numerous visitors to its welcoming, open-design booth in Hall 5, where the JUPITER 200S grinding machine was on display. Representing the evolution of the JUPITER 200, it masters a special process variation: in contrast to conventional plunge-cut grinding, the wheelhead is inclined by 10° for angular plunge-cut grinding. This enables centerless grinding of flat shoulders or face ends and opens up the range of applications – in areas such as precision machining and metalworking, the tool industry and contract grinding. The JUPITER 200S machines a variety of materials from steel to carbide with excellent precision.
LTA Lufttechnik GmbH showcased a milestone for clean air in metal cutting applications – the AC 3002 CIP. Only regenerative filter elements are used in the electrostatic air filter for the extraction of oil and emulsion mist. The metal-cutting machine’s cooling lubricants take care of cleaning. The innovative combination of regenerative filter elements and automatic flushing device allows the AC 3002 CIP to be cleaned any number of times. There is no need to procure or dispose of replacement filters, which benefits the environment and also drives down costs.
In short: this was a highly successful trade fair for the JUNKER Group. The booth was busy with visitors; we were able to establish new business relationships and strengthen existing ones. We are already looking forward to AMB 2020.
