We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with experience in CNC grinding machines to join our team in the Greater Detroit Area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our advanced CNC grinding machines as well as troubleshooting the grinding process at customer sites.
This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude as well as 100% travel availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC grinding machines as well as grinding processes at customer locations
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on equipment
- Provide technical support and training to customers on machine operation and maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve process, mechanical, electrical, and software issues
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machine performance and reliability
- Maintain detailed service records and reports
- Travel to customer sites within the Greater Detroit Area and other locations in the US and Canada as needed
- Travel to Europe to take the machine over before it is shipped to the US/CA
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC grinding machines
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems
- Understanding of grinding processes
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Valid driver's license and Passport
