When did you join JUNKER? Why did you choose to work at JUNKER?

I joined JUNKER in 2007 and have been working in JUNKER’s after-sales services team in China for 17 years. My field of study was computer application, which seemed to be not a perfect match to the position in after-sales services. But back then, I still decided to join the JUNKER after-sales services team because: Firstly, JUNKER is the leader in CBN high-speed grinding machine field. The JUNKER machines are highly efficient, applying powerful CNC system with state-of-art technology and versatile functions. What I have learned provided me with solid basis and sufficient knowledge reserve, which can be to a certain extent applied to work.

Secondly, I was very interested in the after-sales position of JUNKER. The after-sales work in my opinion is a crucial bridge connecting JUNKER and customers. By providing professional and efficient services to customers, we win their trust and make them more fond of using JUNKER machines. My analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication skills, play an important role in after-sales service work.

Finally, I saw the vast development space offered by JUNKER‘s after-sales service position for employees. With the intensification of market competition and the diversification of customer needs, the importance of after-sales services is becoming increasingly prominent, which is both a challenge and an opportunity. I believe that as long as I continue endeavoring to learn and improve myself, I will be able to achieve excellent results and make significant progress in this position.

What was one of the most challenging project for you? And what were so special about it?

My most challenging project  occurred in the first half of 2011 for Tianrun. Tianrun is the largest crankshaft manufacturing enterprise in China. In 2010, Tianrun continuously purchased nearly 30 JUNKER grinding machines to expand the production capacity of heavy-duty truck crankshafts. In the first half of 2011, on average in nearly every 1.5 months, there were 3 sets of JUCRANK 6L CNC crankshaft grinding machines delivered to the project site. In order to ensure project progress, the customer required us to complete installation, commissioning, and handover for production within 3 weeks after each batch of machines had arrived on site. At that time, there were multi-layers of difficulties: the JUCRANK 6L machine model was imported to China for the first time, and it was certain that there would arise complex problems during commissioning, which may be unprecedented in other projects. The customer had never used JUNKER grinders before. In addition, the customer had strict requirements for the production quality and efficiency of heavy-duty truck crankshaft products. Altogether, even the customer‘s on-site staff considered that it was mission impossible to complete the commissioning of 3 machines in 3 weeks. Besides, this project was of great significance to both Tianrun and JUNKER: these grinding machines were not only related the operation of Tianrun‘s production line, but also made huge influence on the views and impressions of Tianrun senior management on JUNKER, and had a decisive impact on the subsequent cooperation between both parties. So, this project combines urgency, complexity, and importance. From the very beginning of the project, I had been very clear and always remembered the importance of this project for JUNKER and Tianrun. No matter what difficulties and challenges I encountered, I had never hesitated or feared. I always kept my confidence on solving them one by one. However, time was limited and could not be controlled by me. The only solution was to keep on working and racing against it. Although the experience of continuous intensive working made me very tired, at the moment when: the machines’ commissioning was completed on time, the CMK data for grinding met the requirements, the machines were put into production, and the customer showed the satisfied smile, all the efforts became worthwhile. This also strengthens my passion and pursuit for work. The impetus that kept me moving on mainly came from several aspects: the first, a sense of responsibility towards work and commitment to customers. I don‘t want to disappoint customers, let alone affect their normal production and operation due to my own reasons. The second, the challenge and enhancement to my own abilities. I hope to improve my professional skills and problem-solving abilities through continuous learning and practice; The third is the support and encouragement of the team. JUNKER German headquarters and colleagues have provided me with a lot of help and support during my continuous work, making me feel the warmth and strength of the team.

What are the most attractive aspects of JUNKER Company to you?

JUNKER Company‘s premium customer service philosophy, vast development space, good teamwork atmosphere, and corporate culture are all very attractive to me. These in combination make me work in the company for so long time, and I still have high expectations and confidence for the future of JUNKER.
Firstly, JUNKER places great emphasis on the quality and efficiency of customer services. As member of the after-sales service team, I am well aware of the importance of customer satisfaction for a company‘s reputation and sustainable development. JUNKER Company always puts customer needs first and continuously enhances its service level. In such an atmosphere, I am able to devote myself wholeheartedly to work and provide the best after-sales service to customers. Secondly, JUNKER provides various learning opportunities and backend support. In the after-sales position, I am constantly exposed to new products and technologies. By dealing with various complex and sophisticated machine problems, which have greatly improved my professional skills and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, the team collaboration atmosphere and interpersonal relationships of JUNKER have also provided me with positive feedbacks. In the entire service department, we are a closely collaborative team, where mutual supports are common and mutual progresses are achieved. The excellent co-working with colleagues has made me feel the joy and sense of achievement of work, and also made me cherish this job opportunity even more.

How many cities have you been to? Which city have you stayed for the longest time? For which project? What is your favorite city? Why?

With the increase in the quantity of customers of JUNKER in China, I have visited numerous domestic cities and also visited JUNKER headquarters in Germany. Talking about the city where I have stayed for the longest time, it is undoubtedly Wendeng, in which there are over 70 JUNKER machines.
Of course, each city has its unique charm and attraction. No matter which city I have been to, I did my best to experience local life, understand local culture, and make friends with local people and customers, so as to better understand customer needs and help them solve problems.

Among all the projects you are responsible for, which one is most memorable to you?

Among the machine commissioning projects I have been responsible for, the most memorable one, which I am most proud of, is the 1st JUCRANK 8XL large crankshaft grinding machine project in China.

The difficulties in commissioning this high-precision CNC grinding machine are extraordinary. It is not only because that JUCRANK 8XL adopted the latest developed structure and technology by JUNKER, but also because of the strict acceptance conditions: the quantity of large crankshafts available for commissioning and acceptance was limited, and we must setup the machine to high accuracies using the limited test parts, while ensuring machining efficiency and stability under long-term operation.

Before setting out to taking over the task, I conducted in-depth study on the structure, control system, and performance parameters of various key components of JUCRANK 8XL. Nevertheless, during the commissioning process, I still encountered technical difficulties that required precise and meticulous adjustments and program optimization. Any slight carelessness could lead to the scrapping of workpieces. Utilizing my years of experience and professional knowledge, I managed to overcome these obstacles one by one, and ultimately received high praise from the customer.

This project was full of challenges, giving me a profound experience of the joy and sense of achievement from technological breakthroughs. It proofed my competence in work, but also practiced and extended my skills and abilities. This experience has made it clearer to me that for service technicians, constant learning and exploring builds up the confidence while facing difficulties and thus can obtain better results. In future, I will continue to maintain this positive attitude, constantly pursuing higher technical levels and presenting better results.

When are the happiest moments for you at work?

The happiest moments in my work are those when I can demonstrate my value, achieve team goals, and gain recognition and appreciation from clients and JUNKER company.

At the moments when I spared no efforts and solved a complex machine problem or successfully debugged a machine to achieve the expected performance, I realized that my skills and knowledge can create value for JUNKER company. I feel a sense of achievement and satisfaction. When I receive recognition and appreciation from my leaders, colleagues, and clients, I feel excited because it is not only a recognition of my work achievements, but also a recognition of my personal value and efforts.

Besides bringing me satisfaction and happiness, these moments also make me love my work more and to put in more efforts for it.
