We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team at Erwin Junker Machinery, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site support for our high-speed grinding machines, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for precision and reliability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our advanced CNC grinding machines as well as troubleshooting the grinding process at customer sites. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude as well as 100% travel availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of JUNKER grinding machines.
- Analyze machine performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct training sessions for customers on machine operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during service operations.
- Support customers in optimizing their production processes using JUNKER technologies.
- Travel to customer sites within the United States and Canada as needed.
- Travel to Europe to take the machine over before it is shipped to the US/CA
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Understanding of grinding processes
- Ability to analyze technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours for on-site service calls.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC grinding machines.
- Valid driver's license and Passport
