3. Data Collection, Processing and Storage

There are different levels of processing involved, depending on your activity on our website.

INFORMAL VISIT OF WEBSITE

Every time an individual visits our website we collect the following information:

  • Date and time of access
  • Your browser type and settings
  • Your screen resolution
  • The operating system used
  • The page you visited with date and time
  • The volume of data transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • Your IP address (only saved and used in abbreviated form.)
  • The links you opened

This information will be saved anonymously to monitor the day-to-day operations of our website, for instance if everything is displayed in an optimal format. The data is also used to analyze faults and to prevent and trace misuse (e.g., analyzing unauthorized access attempts or detecting and blocking attacks on our data processor). Additionally, we monitor which functions and contents are particularly popular and expand and enhance these accordingly. We see which end user devices are being used, enabling us to align the technical design of our website to these. We identify which countries and regions users come from so that we can expand the language options as needed. Furthermore, we use the collected information to identify and rectify faults. For instance, we identify whether registration processes are regularly terminated and which types of devices this happens on.

We do not assign the usage data to individual users, to identify individual visitors, or to create usage profiles for individual users.

The legal basis for this processing lies in Article 6(1f) GDPR and our interest in reliably showing our website with minimal disruption. We save the IP address for a maximum of seven days; no analysis of personal data is undertaken, only statistical analysis of the website usage, as described in this Policy.
