3. Data Collection, Processing and Storage

There are different levels of processing involved, depending on your activity on our website.

Every time an individual visits our website we collect the following information:

  • Date and time of access
  • Your browser type and settings
  • Your screen resolution
  • The operating system used
  • The page you visited with date and time
  • The volume of data transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • Your IP address (only saved and used in abbreviated form.)
  • The links you opened

This information will be saved anonymously to monitor the day-to-day operations of our website, for instance if everything is displayed in an optimal format. The data is also used to analyze faults and to prevent and trace misuse (e.g., analyzing unauthorized access attempts or detecting and blocking attacks on our data processor). Additionally, we monitor which functions and contents are particularly popular and expand and enhance these accordingly. We see which end user devices are being used, enabling us to align the technical design of our website to these. We identify which countries and regions users come from so that we can expand the language options as needed. Furthermore, we use the collected information to identify and rectify faults. For instance, we identify whether registration processes are regularly terminated and which types of devices this happens on.

We do not assign the usage data to individual users, to identify individual visitors, or to create usage profiles for individual users.

The legal basis for this processing lies in Article 6(1f) GDPR and our interest in reliably showing our website with minimal disruption. We save the IP address for a maximum of seven days; no analysis of personal data is undertaken, only statistical analysis of the website usage, as described in this Policy.

The information an individual provides using our contact form:

  • Name
  • Company/department
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number (optional)
  • Subject
  • Your message
  • Type of requested material, if applicable.

The provided data and the communication involved by responding to your inquiry will be stored after the inquiry has been resolved up to three months.

If your inquiry relates to an existing contractual relationship, or you want to form a contract, the legal basis for the data processing is Article 6(1b) GDPR (contract performance). Otherwise, the legal basis of the data processing lies in Article 6(1f) GDPR (balancing of interests) and in our claim of being able to respond to your inquiry with relevant information.

4. Newsletter Subscription

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you automatically give your consent to be contacted by Junker. Therefore, you are required to proof the ownership of the provided email address. We will store the email and confirmation to proof your consent if need.

By providing your email and confirming the ownership you give your consent to the following conditions:

“I hereby consent to Erwin Junker Maschinenfabrik GmbH and LTA Lufttechnik GmbH sending regular information about products and services in the field of grinding machines and filtration systems to me using the e-mail address specified above. I also consent that information relating to opening the newsletter and clicking on links is recorded and used to improve the newsletter's content and send me information based on my interests.”

Once you subscribe, we record whether you open a newsletter, and which links you have clicked on in the newsletter (usage analysis).

Each newsletter contains a tracking pixel (an invisible individualized graphic), which connects with our servers when opening the e-mail. This enables us to determine if you have opened a newsletter e-mail and which links you click. All the newsletter links are individualized "tracking links” and will be used to count your clicks.

This data serves to tailor future newsletters to the interests of the subscribers. If you do not wish to be subject to usage analysis, you may choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

By unsubscribing from the newsletter, you automatically withdraw your consent (see above) given and we delete your email, the saved data concerning your newsletter subscription, and any usage data (interaction with the newsletter) for the duration of your subscription will also be deleted from our system immediately.

The legal basis for our data processing is your consent, as per Article 6(1a) GDPR.

No cookies are used for the usage analyses. We only process information that is transferred from the browser to our server. The IP address is saved only in an abbreviated, anonymized form in this process. We operate the usage analysis software on our servers. No third-party providers or cloud services are engaged for this. We erase the usage data after 24 months. The legal basis for this processing lies in our legitimate interests in the analysis of the usage of our website to improve our offering, to identify and rectify faults, and to prepare statistical evaluations (Article 6(1f) GDPR).
